Tunable compact filters based on stub-loaded parallelcoupled resonators

摘要: A novel topology of tunable compact band-pass filters based on stub-loaded parallel coupled resonators is demonstrated. These behave like short-circuited quarter wavelength resonators, which explains the compactness such a structure filter. By loading stubs by capacitance, narrow-band filter obtained, with relative pass-band widths 3.5 % only two resonators. For proof-of concept, three two-pole different capacitors have been realized. The tunability reaches 6 %, i.e. twice bandwidth. Insertion loss between 2.2 dB and 2.8 achieved return better than −12 dB. bandwidth quite constant for all working frequencies.
