摘要: The author describes a flash memory device used to store the basic input/output system (BIOS) of PC or notebook computer. Rapidly increasing computer complexity requires rapid and convenient BIOS modifications. code can be stored in ROM, EPROM, EEPROM, bulk erasable memory, block memory. Updating ROM EPROM much time money. storage does not require EEPROM's feature byte erasure. Rapid inexpensive revisions accomplished with update software provided on desk by modem. Block provides capability updates while providing boot recovery protected from inadvertent program is easily updated containing an internal erase sequence controller. A 1-Mb controller ideal medium for code. >
