摘要: An account is given of early liberations and the spread hedgehogs throughout New Zealand between 1869 1973. Evidence, gathered largely from questionnaires personal observations, summarised in tables maps to show present range abundance species. Hedgehogs dispersed many points liberation; their numbers increased dramatically South Island 1910 1940, North 1920 1950s. By 1940s they had colonised most lowland areas, extended foot bushed mountainous regions; a few were found at altitudes 2000 m.
