摘要: . Root harvests and root windows were used to study the influence of fire, mowing nitrogen additions on lengths, biomass, content in tall-grass prairie. Four years (10 g m2 yr−1) increased below-ground mass by 15 % concentration that 77 %. In general, live roots rhizomes exhibited greater increases concentrations than detrital rhizomes. After four treatment, immobilized an additional 1.5 5 g/m2 nitrogen, depending upon specific while dead 3 3.5 g/m2. Average growth parameters, as measured with windows, positively correlated above-ground peak foliage biomass; however, only significant correlation was between average new biomass (r = 0.73, p ≤ 0.04). decay, annual mean values for eight over a year interval, insensitive climatic treatment effects.
