摘要: There have been calls in recent years for greater public involvement health technology assessment (HTA). Yet the concept of is poorly articulated and little attention has paid to context HTA agencies. This article investigates how conceptualized agency environment. Using qualitative analysis methods, we reviewed literature websites agencies conducted semi-structured interviews with informants Canada, Denmark, United Kingdom. Our reveals that agencies' role as bridges or boundary organizations situated at frontier research policymaking causes struggle idea involvement. The community concerned conceptualizing such a way meet scientific methodological standards without neglecting its responsibilities healthcare policymakers. We offer conceptual tool analyzing nature across agencies, characterizing different domains, levels involvement, types publics.
