摘要: We numerically and experimentally demonstrate that metasurfaces can be used to control the light emission from emitting diodes (LED). This provides a desired wavefront functionality of in addition enhancing extraction efficiency. Simply placing metasurface on top LED does not work as conventional designs require plane wave excitation, which LEDs cannot provide. To overcome this challenge we implement novel concept using internal external resonant cavities combined with LED. Guided by our numerical simulations, fabricating Si TiO2 cavity structures. The integration these commercially available GaN GaP devices show full control, beam deflection collimation. Both enhance radiation. Moreover, following proposed principle, any random sources including fluorescent molecules quantum dots integrated into similar optical device achieve focusing, deflecting, vortex generation other capabilities.
