摘要: Objective: A subgroup of patients with progressive dementia has been reported a marked predominance symptoms attributed to the dysfunction posterior parieto-occipital cortex. These cases have referred as cortical atrophy . The objective this study was determine whether is associated distinct, uniform neuropathologic findings. Design: Three individuals that began higher visual (posterior atrophy) were followed up definitive diagnosis. Results: separate entities discovered: subcortical gliosis, Alzheimer's disease, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Conclusion: Posterior clinically homogeneous but pathologically heterogeneous syndrome.
