Advances and Perspectives of the use of the entomopathogenic fungi beauveria bassiana and metarhizium anisopliae for the control of arthropod pests in poultry production

摘要: Global poultry production is plagued by a wide variety of arthropods. The problems associated with their chemical control have led to an increasing search for alternatives, and entomopathogenic fungi seem be promising strategy. Despite the large number insects mites considered as important pests in animal production, studies on use are still scarce compared agricultural pests, particularly Brazil. This article reviews some damages aspects main arthropod that affect Brazilian including house flies, lesser mealworms, feather mites, Beauveria bassiana Metarhizium anisopliae. Studies published last 20 years were reviewed, limitations pest-control strategy discussed.
