摘要: Reclamation of abandoned acid mine soils is often limited by lack suitable soil materials for establishing self-sustaining vegetation. Fly ash has been used to create technogenic reclamation lands. contains toxic trace elements such as selenium and molybdenum that can leach into the groundwater from treated soils. In lands, oxidation pyrite generates acidity dissolved Fe Al. Neutralization generated with alkalinity fly produces coatings iron aluminum hydrous–oxides on surface clay minerals. Kaolinite dominant mineral in these Al coated kaolinite retain Se Mo. Laboratory investigations were conducted determine effect three levels oxide kaolinite, Mo retention capacity kaolinite. Adsorption selenite molybdate occurred hydrous above pHo. Significant adsorption selenate only at pH values lower than pHo concerned solid phase. Coating well increased anion mineral. The was, however, more oxide. Surface sites anions limited. Results this investigation show will play a very important role controlling mobility oxyanions containing relatively high amounts coatings.
