摘要: There is a close association between sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and preeclampsia. Both conditions have poor pregnancy outcomes. Forty women with new-onset hypertension of 60 age-matched normotensive pregnant were subjected to polysomnography. The maternal fetal outcomes all the subjects noted. SDB occurs more frequently (p = 0.018; OR 13.1) severity (p 0.001; 1.8) in hypertensive disorders even after controlling for pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI). Furthermore, BMI significantly correlated both Apnea–Hypopnea Index (AHI; r = 0.745; p < 0.001) blood pressure (r = 0.617; highlighting contribution obesity causation SDB. We also found significant correlation AHI adjustment pointing toward an independent role development (r = 0.612; p = 0.01).
