摘要: Despite the increasing attendance of children with food allergy in schools Australia and globally, little is known about how affected families manage their children’s transition to school. This paper discusses experiences support needs ten mothers during child’s school Sydney, Australia, drawn from thematic analysis Photo Elicitation Interviews homes. One significant findings this study was that most found both emotionally practically challenging, even though previously attended a long day care or preschool setting. While school’s pro-active transitional planning, procedures management psychological provided facilitated smooth start school, lack these, together poor no communication non-involvement hindered it. Correspondingly, highlighted need for keep at forefront planning them holistically by pro-actively communicating, collaborating involving discussions allergy, empowering information on policies procedures, acknowledging concerns safety.
