摘要: The importance of the Gumbel probability distribution for description extreme hydrologic events is examined in this article. key findings work are: (1) an iterative method least squares was developed and found to be well-suited efficient fitting two-parameter extremes; (2) negative truncation necessary adequately describe minima (non-negative) data, while standard maxima modeling (large) events; (3) function sum two independent variables, hydrology, has been derived successfully applied spring flow data. Several examples that involve extremes are presented analyzed.
