摘要: This article adds to the growing body of research surround-ing use virtual manipulatives for mathematics learning. The study reported herein used five different manipu-latives from four websites, all within a sixth grade unit on proportional thinking. While many studies have re-ported student achievement when using manipu-latives, researchers in this consider baseline and evaluated perspective student, examining aspects manipula-tives that led self-regulated learning behaviors, discovery underlying mathematical concepts under study, constructive emotional connections more. From these findings Multidimensional Virtual Manipulative evaluation (MVMe) Tool is developed as means evaluate potential effectiveness manipulative. Students’ perceptions welcome versus un-welcome scaffolds are also discussed context manipulatives.
