摘要: OBJECTIVE: Hemangiomas of the brachial plexus are very rare, and there has not been a collection multiple cases published in literature to date. Extraneural hemangiomas typically present with similar signs symptoms as nerve sheath tumors, including pain, paresthesia, occasionally weakness, addition nonspecific imaging findings, making their diagnosis difficult. Exploratory surgery can lead significant bleeding injury when hemangioma or an associated aneurysm is encountered intraoperatively. We 5 extraneural causing plexopathy, pre-, intra-, postoperative decision making, emphasis on diagnostic management issues well outcomes. METHODS: A retrospective review was performed patients who underwent at university teaching hospital between 1995 2007 for exploration lesions that were confirmed be pathological examination. RESULTS: All presented findings history, physical examination, imaging, electromyography suggesting tumor. Two had biopsies (1 needle, 1 open), both which nondiagnostic. Three digital subtraction angiography successful preoperative embolization. Each patient complete radical subtotal tumor resection, all intact neurologically after surgical resection. Pathological evaluation identified 3 venous hemangiomas, arteriovenous malformation features, Masson large aneurysm. CONCLUSION: but high index suspicion appropriate evaluation, option embolization, result decreased intraoperative hemorrhage better
