A histological study of development of oocytes in capelin, Mallotus villosus villosus (Müller)

摘要: Female capelin, Mallotus villosus villosus, were sampled at various times of the year from Barents Sea and preserved for histological examination. The current paper describes stages development capelin oocytes. description can be used as basis preparation a maturity scale to in field, using whole oocytes low power microscopy. is classified into 10 according morphological characters. First growth phase are always present ovaries, showing that female have potential several spawnings. Second grow synchronously. Oocytes of‘ Yolk vesicle stage I‘ suggested first second which lasts somewhat less than one year, ends with spawning.
