摘要: Abstract Lighting accounts for over 20% of electricity use in the residential sector Cameroon. Due to unreliable and inadequate energy supply country, there is a need efficient utilization available energy. This paper presents current different technologies used artificial lighting including economic environmental benefits associated with switch from incandescent compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) light emitting diode (LED) dwellings Buea, The study employed survey 100 Buea. Results revealed that achieved through following technologies: lamps, CFLs tubes. assessment substitution lamps CFL LED considering an average daily duration six hours was also conducted using net present value (NPV), benefit cost ratio (BCR), simple payback period (PBP) life cycle analysis (LCC). NPV ranges $47 $282.02, BCR 1.84 PBP 0.17 year while range $89.14 $370, 3.18 1.92 years. emerged lowest highest LCC respectively. Substituting results reduction related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 66.6% 83.3% From results, transition towards Cameroon possesses great benefits. There government expedite uptake formulation implementation favourable policies.
