摘要: Enzymes are extremely valuable tools for industrial, environmental, and biotechnological applications there is a constant need improving existing biological catalysts discovering new ones. Screening microbe or gene libraries an efficient way of identifying enzymes. In this view, droplet-based microfluidics appears to be one the most powerful approaches as it allows inexpensive screenings in well-controlled conditions ultrahigh-throughput regime. This review aims introduce main microfluidic devices concepts considered such screening before presenting discussing latest successful technology enzyme discovery.
