摘要: A better understanding of the genotype response to N fertilization under weed competition is necessary identify varieties that exhibit high use effi ciency even when weeds compete for available N. Such may be more suitable low input or organic systems. Th study assessed variations in nitrogen (NUE) (and its components) and recovery 15 N-labeled fertilizer three durum wheat (Triticum Desf.) genotypes (one landrace two diff er terms plant growth, grain yield potential, adaptability stressful environments) grown presence absence interspecifi c varying soil availability (0 80 kg ha –1 fertilization). e results showed had erent potentials yields were similar plants conditions competition. Diff erences among uptake very small, NUE value observed seemed due reduced ability absorbed increasing compared with varieties. Furthermore, competitive abilities against competitor, depend on genotypes’ reduce resource (N) their competitors rather than tolerate a reduction contested resources competitors.
