摘要: We apply Shape—nders, statistical measures of ii shape ˇˇ constructed from two-dimensional partial Minkowski functionals, to study the degree —lamentarity in Las Campanas Redshift Survey (LCRS). In two dimensions, three functionals characterize morphology an object; these are its perimeter (L ), area (S), and genus. Out L S a single dimensionless Shape—nder sta- tistic, F, can be (0 "F " 1). The statistic F acquires extreme values on circle (F \ 0) —lament Using we quantify extent LCRS by comparing our results with Poisson distribution having similar geometrical properties same selection function as survey. Our unambiguously demonstrate that displays high —lamen- tarity both northern southern Galactic sections, general agreement visual appear- ance catalog. It is well known gravitational clustering Gaussian initial conditions gives rise development non-Gaussianity, re—ected formation network-like —lamentary structure supercluster scales. Consequently, fact smoothed catalog shows proper- ties consistent those random —eld, whereas unsmoothed demonstrates presence —lamentarity, lends strong support conjecture large-scale galaxies driven instability.
