摘要: Using time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy, we have performed the first investigation of vibrational modes gold nanoshells. The fundamental isotropic mode launched by a femtosecond pump pulse manifests itself in pronounced time-domain modulation differential transmission probed at frequency nanoshell surface plasmon resonance. amplitude is significantly stronger, and period longer than that nanoparticle same overall size, agreement with theoretical calculations. This distinct acoustical signature nanoshells provides new efficient method for identifying these versatile nanostructures studying their mechanical structural properties.
