摘要: The uneven permeation of cations and anions through forward osmosis membranes offers a new technical challenge in the development processes. Cation exchange polyamide thin film composite is caused by carboxylic acid functional groups within structure these membranes’ selective layers. These will gain or lose proton depending on external solution pH. deprotonation at alkaline pHs results net negative charge, allowing for between feed draw solutions having monovalent cations. In this study, importance pH influencing cation transport across commercial membrane was examined. It found that varies significantly with changes occurred fastest
