摘要: Many policy analysts fear that eliminating the individual health insurance mandate and penalty from Affordable Care Act of 2010 would lead to a “premium spiral,” in which healthy people drop coverage, premiums soar, number with coverage plummet. However, there are other provisions law greatly mitigate this effect. For example, subsidies provided help purchase through exchanges restrain premium spiral by absorbing much impact increases.
