摘要: Glass fibres containing metallic aluminium dispersoids up to 7.5 at% AI have been made using ceramic bushings. The granules diameters ranging from 5 40 nm. A new technique based on strength-strain regression analysis has used determine the Young's moduli of glass fibres. Weibull parameters evaluated by both graphical (GRE) and maximum likelihood (MLE) techniques. Fracture studies also carried out. presence particles increases modulus but reduces strength. latter arises due acting as stress concentrators within matrix.
