摘要: Techniques are presented that used to animate and render particle systems with the Connection Machine CM-2, a data parallel supercomputer. A behavior language provides an animator levels of control from kinematic spline motions physically based simulations. rendering system allows particles different shapes, sizes, colors transparencies be rendered antialiasing, hidden surfaces, motion-blur. One virtual processor is assigned each primitive element: one particle, during process, pixel-sized fragment, pixel. These tools model dynamic phenomena such as wind, snow, water, fire.
