摘要: Abstract The ESR spectrum of metastable triplet excitons in single crystals 1.4 dibromo-naphthalene (1.4 DBN) at 1.4°K and 35 GHz was investigated. Optical measurements have established previously that this system are free even 1.2°K. Exciton motion these takes place mainly by hopping between translationally equivalent molecules along the crystal c axis (AA jumps). This fact is due to structure DBN therefore called linear excitons. spectra were observed both directly (standard microwave detection) optically, using phosphorescence intensity individual Zeeman components lines as indicator. Using optical detection one can easily distinguish exciton which isolated trap crystal. show clearly one-dimensional character crystals. In addition measure inter-chain jump rates inequivalent chains (AB jumps), studying line shape width lines. These three orders magnitude smaller than those in-chain jumps. jumps also responsible for spin-lattice relaxation time T 1 . measured calculated methods developed earlier naphthalene anthracene.
