摘要: systematically affect price and income elasticity estimates in studies of gasoline demand the United States . Elasticity from previous are used as dependent variable with data characteristics, model structure , estimation technique independent variables. Included among explanatory variables functional form, lag structure, time span, national setting (U.S. versus U.S. pooled other countries). Inclusion vehicle ownership is found to result lower elasticity, sets which pool foreign larger (absolute) both small difference between static dynamic models suggests that lagged responses or changes relatively short. This study also appear robust across techniques.
