摘要: Epidemiological studies, case reports, and recommendations concerning the drugs used in physician-assisted death are reviewed this paper. Using a MEDLINE Cancerlit search, we found total of 20 relevant publications. Recent research, mainly from Netherlands, has shown that high doses barbiturates usually effective for suicide, while combination barbiturate derivative curare euthanasia. Opioids less reliable because unpredictable duration dying process even after doses. The same applies to benzodiazepines. most frequent undesired effect is an unexpectedly long due impaired uptake drugs. Although evidence base incomplete, Dutch issued 1994 renewed 1998 do not seem inappropriate.
