Durability of alkali activated cement produced from kaolinitic clay

摘要: Abstract Alkali activated products were synthesized by activation of kaolinitic clay from Hiswa area, Jordan with a sodium hydroxide solution. These specimens subjected to long-term durability tests under different environmental and chemical conditions. The geopolymer undergo very low drying shrinkage. perform well ambient, de-ionized water, wet–dry cycles, sea sulfate newly developed material shows stable strength all these are however attacked acid solutions lose about 9.7% their mass after 90 days exposure. alkali–silica reaction has highly affected the as indicated cracking, expansion loss mechanical strength.
