摘要: The development of synthetic biodegradable polymers, such as poly(α-hydroxy acid), is particularly important for constructing medical devices, including scaffolds and sutures, has attracted growing interest in the biomedical field. Here, we report a novel approach to preparing high molecular weight poly(malic acid) (HMW−PMA) bioabsorbable water-soluble polymer. We investigated detail reaction conditions simple direct polycondensation l-malic acid, times, temperatures, catalysts. synthesized α,β-PMA dependent on both temperature time. optimum condition obtain by using tin(II) chloride catalyst was thus determined be 110 °C 45 h with 5300. method synthesis established here will facilitate production various weights, which may have potential utility biomaterials.
