Near-IR activity of hybrid solar cells: Enhancement of efficiency by dissociating excitons generated in PbS nanoparticles

摘要: Photovoltaic devices based on PbS nanoparticles remained inactive in the near-IR region due to a not-so-favorable energy band-diagram that does not allow dissociation of excitons generated PbS. In this work, with introduction TiO2 nanostructures PbS-based hybrid system, we show an enhancement photovoltaic performance both visible and regions. The addition increases power conversion efficiency from 0.006% 0.12%. With aid band-diagram, even range can now become dissociated yield photocurrent external circuit.
