摘要: Abstract Bioinformatics is a very powerful tool in the field of glycoproteomics, as well genomics and proteomics. The bioinformatics technique accelerates comprehensive identification silico cloning human glycogenes containing glycosyltransferases, glycolytic enzymes, sugar‐nucleotide synthetases, transporters, so forth. Glycosyltransferase genes play central roles carbohydrate chain biosynthesis have been analyzed for their biological functions. At present, over 180 glycosyltransferases were identified, cloned, expressed various expression systems to detect activity synthesis. recombinant proteins glycosyltransferase successfully identified enzyme activities substrate specificities. Their specificities determined using donor substrates acceptors. This section reviews functions, specificities, enzymatic reactions such β1,3‐glycosyltransferase family β1,4‐glycosyltransferase family.
