摘要: Substantial progress has been made on the mechanics of interface fracture. An engineering program emerged which allows fracture resistance interfaces to be measured and utilized. This recent development, assessed in an Acta-Scripta Metallurgica Proceedings, is discussed. Several results have obtained plasticity aspects cracks one (or both) constituent materials can deform plastically. The crack tip fields are members a family parametrized by plastic mode mixity parameter ξ. J integral scales each member field. Analyses finite width geometries loaded remote tension show that effects load, ligament geometry near-tip adequately accounted for integral. summarized.
