摘要: Summary The ring-shaped complex PCNA coordinates DNA replication, encircling to act as a polymerase clamp and sliding platform recruit other replication proteins. is loaded onto by factor C, but it has been unknown how removed from when Okazaki fragments are completed or the fork terminates. Here we show that Elg1 C-like (Elg1-RLC) functions in unloading. Using an improved degron system without Elg1, accumulates on Saccharomyces cerevisiae chromatin during replication. accumulated can be in vivo switching expression. We find moreover treating with purified Elg1-RLC causes unloading in vitro. Our results demonstrate of both unmodified SUMOylated while genome instability elg1Δ mutant suggests timely critical for chromosome maintenance.
