摘要: Abstract Core-type microstructures offer a unique combination of properties both layers. Phase separation and formation core-type microstructure in Al–65.5 mass% Bi hyper-monotectic alloys were studied by melting quartz crucibles with orifices at the bottom then ejecting melt into silicon oil. Effects processing parameters investigated changing free fall distance droplets temperature oil where solidified. Based on ANSYS simulation, cooling rate gradient estimated. As decrease, tend to increase, leading great changes Marangoni Stokes motions, hence causing transitions morphology between crescent-shape shell regular shell. The solidification paths under different analyzed, it was concluded exemplified that only if effects are discreetly balanced can particles be obtained.
