摘要: Lesotho, like any other country of the world, is faced with task improving life its inhabitants. The Government Lesotho has taken steps to address this issue by embarking on National Vision 2020 and Millennium Development Goals. To facilitate government developed a poverty reduction strategy which recognised improvement health as one priority areas. For be effectively acted on, factors affecting status people have identified. Thus, objective research identify that affect direction effect these factors. achieve this, generalized linear models, mixed survey logistic regression models are used. data for come from 2002 Core Welfare Indicators Questionnaire Survey. response variable, namely status, measured presence or absence disease/injury. first model fitted selected using stepwise procedure. same refitted accounts complexity design. Using following were found significantly Lesotho: district residence, sex, marital age, ownership dwelling, education, interaction effects; sex age dwelling education household size. analysis also lead conclusions above two well identified effects important status: type toilet, fuel used cooking time reach hospital/clinic, size, toilet
