摘要: Objective: To test whether resting oxygen uptake (Vo2), submaximal Vo2, and maximal Vo2 (Vo2max) differs between obese adolescents (n = 18; BMI > 30) a matched normal-weight control group after adjustment for differences in fat-free mass (FFM) fat (FM). Research Methods Procedures: FFM FM were assessed by DXA. Resting Vo2max measured indirect calorimetry. Results: There was no difference groups adjusting FM. Submaximal did not differ body weight. Percentage NET (Vo2max − Vo2) significantly higher the during exercise, however different FFM. Discussion: When compositions are appropriately controlled for, do adolescents. These data suggested that relative observed adolescent subjects is due to their an impaired even though they may be less physically active.
