摘要: Abstract. Within the EU-funded project, Global Mercury Observation System (GMOS) airborne mercury has been monitored at background Rao measurement site on western coast of Sweden from mid-May 2012 to beginning July 2013 and February 2014 end May 2015. The following species/fractions were measured: gaseous elemental (GEM), particulate bound (PBM) oxidised (GOM) using Tekran system. concentrations measured found be low in comparison other, comparable, European sites. A back-trajectory analysis study origin air masses reaching was performed. Due remote location station it receives about 60 % time. However, elevated arriving with coming south-east are noticeable. GEM PBM show a clear annual variation highest values occurring during winter, whereas GOM obtained spring summer. An evaluation diurnal pattern GOM, peak midday or early afternoon, which often is observed places, shows that likely driven by local meteorology similar way ozone. Evidence significant part formed free tropospheric presented.
