摘要: Abstract The Lower Triassic Buntsandstein in Central Germany comprises one of the major clastic, lithified hydrocarbon reservoirs, it is a groundwater aquifer and considered as potential underground gas storage lithology. Thus, sandstones from Thuringia NE Hesse were used to analyse their geochemical composition combined with mineralogical data order investigate origin several bleaching phenomena primary red beds, since these give hint for mineral alteration, formation reactivity course fluid-rock-interactions. This relevant e.g. recent Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) efforts. observed diverse linked certain stages diagenesis different episodes fluid flow: (1) eodiagenetic coupled palaeosoil iron mobilisation, (2) mesodiagenetic result migration, (3) Tertiary due CO2 degassing Miocene volcanism, (4) telodiagenetic weathering under humid climate conditions, (5) processes related telodiagenesis/pedogenesis. study emphasizes multiple nature fluids, which can induce mobilisation beds.
