摘要: Abstract Children without siblings (only children) have higher rates of obesity than children with siblings. Childhood may be prevented by minimising sedentary behaviour and accumulating sufficient physical activity in young children. A growing number articles examined the influence on behaviour, yet these not been synthesised.  Objective To synthesise literature describe objectively measured (ages 2–18 years).  Design Outcomes were analysed a systematic review meta-analysis.  Data sources PubMed, EMBASE, Web Science Medline OVID searched for related to siblings, activity, outcomes from 1947 March 2018.  Eligibility criteria Articles that evaluated sibling status accelerometer or pedometer included.  Results Nineteen articles, representing 17 independent datasets, included review. Nine quantitative analysis. Pooled data nine indicated had moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) relative only children, potential dose response household MVPA (Mean Difference=3.13, 95% CI 1.90 4.35, p=0.001). Findings mixed light activity. Summary/Conclusion healthier patterns, as pedometer, did Suggested mechanisms include peer modelling, encouraging active transport sports participation, opportunity playmate serving additional caregivers.
