摘要: Nanoparticles are of wide interest due to their potential use for diverse commercial applications. Quantum dots (QDs) semiconductor nanocrystals possessing unique optical and electrical properties. Although QDs commonly made cadmium, a metal known have neurological effects, transport directly the brain has not been assessed. This study evaluated whether (CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals) could be transported from olfactory tract via inhalation. Adult C57BL/6 mice were exposed an aerosol 1 h nasal inhalation, nanoparticles detected 3 post-exposure within bulb by range techniques, including visualisation fluorescent transmission electron microscopy. We conclude that, following short-term inhalation solid QD nanoparticles, there is rapid uptake axonal brain/olfactory with observed activation microglial cells, indicating pro-inflammatory response. To our knowledge, this first clearly demonstrate that can rapidly nose
