摘要: Recent research has demonstrated the advantages of separating management user interface from application program. A system should integrate access to on-line help and documentation with other dialog for interacting program into a uniform environment. We describe such system, called ICE, emphasis on its facilities authoring networks frames containing information menus Authors can write using language similar SCRIBE document processing widely used at CMU elsewhere. But instead generating hardcopy documents different printing devices, ICE produces interactive “softcopy” documents, consisting network combining interface. In screen layout style interaction is specified in format file which separate that contains text appear frames. This separation allows author without having worry much about precise appearance screen. The display designer specify actual independently. same be formatted ways make use devices allow experimentation alternative formats styles interaction.
