摘要: Introduction: Acute poisoning is a common medical emergency that causes morbidity and mortality. fatality of medical, legal social significance. Aim the work: The present work aimed at describing demographic, characters deaths due to acute (type manner poisoning), management mechanism death. Subjects Methods: Prospective study on which admitted MPCC through period from 1-1-2015 31-12-2016. Cases were evaluated. results further studied by statistical tests. Results: During period, 4,834 poisoned cases in MPCC. Among 78 (1.6) % died. most age was 7-18 years 41% followed, >18-30 33.3%. Females surpassed males (59%), students accounted followed farmers 23%. majority single rural areas. More than fifty percent Aluminum phosphide insecticides 25%. Oral ingestion prominent method intake 94.4%. Suicidal intention more accidental (74.4 versus 25.6%). Suicide significantly females groups (7-18) (>18-30) mainly non- worker cases. . Metabolic acidosis correlated insecticides, while hypoxia associated with Dormex corrosive poisoning. ECG changes showed arrhythmia Meanwhile bradycardia dormex Low blood cholinesterase level There significant relation cardiac arrest as cause death cases. Conclusion recommendation: Most commonly used agents are aluminum insecticides. Cardiac main mortality can be reduced conducting educational programs areas, restrict availability keep pesticides away easy use for suicide providing needy people poison information danger.
