摘要: An extraordinary feature of the majority human pathogenic fungi is that they exhibit dimorphism and in many cases pleomorphism. In addition it common to find morphology fungus infected tissue different from propagule initiated infection. It generally assumed, but not well established experimentally, morphogenesis accompanying parasitic infection some way confers a survival advantage on fungus. Basic studies phenomenon fungal are important for at least two reasons: firstly, expand our understanding mechanism mycotic pathogenicity, and, secondly, use these as relatively simple systems studying eukaryotic differentiation. For more detailed treatment reader referred excellent monograph Szaniszlo (133). This review summarizes salient features morphogenic forms number where possible relates process.
