摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the recent advances in organothallium chemistry and reports a survey of major trends field during past twenty years, with particular emphasis on applications compounds (R 3 Tl) to organic chemistry. It focuses thallation oxythallation utility these processes synthesis. Organothallium which bonding is largely covalent have never been isolated. Treatment thallium halides organolithium or Grignard reagents results direct formation either (III) derivatives products that presumed arise through intermediacy initially formed, unstable species. In contrast other compounds, cyclopentadienyl remarkably stable compound. Only about dozen R Tl reported so far, there no systematic studies their properties reactions. These are most three classes prepared by wide variety classical organometallic procedures. Many exchange reactions TlX (X = C1, carboxylate) organo boron, mercury, tin, lead shown result 2 but relatively little preparative significance.
