摘要: We describe selected aspects of the ecology copepod Eurytemora affinis in tide pools an inland salt marsh near L'Isle-Verte, Quebec along southern shore St. Lawrence estuary. E. performed daily horizontal migrations moving from centers to banks and into dense algae. Male were mainly found center during twilight (21 : 00 hrs) algae daylight (12: whereas most females copepodites at all three sampling periods. Although these movements among sites may have minimized predation by diurnally foraging sticklebacks (Pisces: Gasterosteidae), other explanations for can not be excluded. also quantified effects fish upon population structure affinis. Densities stages (nauplius, copepodite, adult) significantly lower with than without fish. Female smaller (mean length) fish, indicating that selectively ate larger females. Male-biased sex ratios both types pools, which excluded possibility biased this species are caused selective
