摘要: Most forest tree species exhibit high levels of genetic diversity that can be used to trace the origin living plants or their products such as timber and processed wood. Recent progress isolate DNA not only from tissue but also wood offers new opportunities test declared material seedlings for plantation establishment timber. However, since most populations are weakly differentiated, identification markers differentiate among spatially isolated is often difficult time consuming. Two important fields “forensic” applications described: Molecular tools applied reproductive internationally traded products. These illustrated taking examples Germany, where mechanisms have been developed improve control trade with seeds seedlings, Southeast Asian family Dipterocarpaceae. Prospects limitations use molecular methods conclude on plants, wood, discussed.
