Early Cretaceous exhumation of the Sulu orogenic belt as a consequence of the eastern Eurasian tectonic extension: insights from the newly discovered Wulian metamorphic core complex, eastern China

摘要: The mechanisms of thinning the lithosphere and destruction North China Craton have been debated in recent decades. Their causal link with regional tectonic extension is well exemplified by exhumation Wulian metamorphic core complex (mcc), along Sulu orogenic belt to SE Craton. mcc a Cordilleran type northwestward dipping low-angle master detachment fault zone (the zone), an Early Cretaceous supradetachment basin Zhucheng Basin) lower plate ultrahigh-pressure rocks belt. Synthetic structural, fabric thermochronological data suggest that responsible for triggered syn- post-tectonic magmatisms. A new cooling path indicates was exhumed at high rate 2.0 km Ma −1 from before c . 128 123 moderate 0.35 81 61 Ma. rapid consistent temporally sedimentation terrestrial deposits Laiyang Group basin. post-kinematic granitic intrusions are dated as c. 122 Ma, which marks cessation plate. Vast amount andesitic volcanic 120 105 Qingshan Basin may be related peak lithospheric area. These highlight importance formation mcc, triggering scenario parallel tectonics model led faulting both crust mantle, resulted loss some subcontinental roots, gave rise mccs, plutonic emplacement eruptions hybrid magmas.
