摘要: Dramatic increases in the number and weight of vehicles have resulted severe rutting on highways Taiwan. The Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau constructed an in-service test road 1996 to investigate effect pavement structures paving materials performance. A mechanistic-empirical model was developed account for material property changes progression over time cumulated compressive plastic strains all layers basis traffic loading. In addition, a three-dimensional, dynamic finite-element simulation established calculate responses that were input into predicting permanent deformation. Traffic speed showed significant impact vertical at top surface layer, its influence consistent with those measured by other researchers. parameters calibrated using rut depths obtained from field test, validation outcome their predictions good agreement ones. results this paper demonstrate incorporating approach prediction is viable provides valuable information contribution each layer deformation flexible pavements.
