摘要: Painful orthopedic conditions associated with extreme tall stature and leg length discrepancy (LLD) include back pain adopting bad posture. After failure of conservative treatment options, blocking the growth plates (epiphysiodesis) around knee emerged as gold standard in patients LLD growing skeleton. Surgical planning includes prediction evaluation bone age. Since is a certain potential error, adequate timing epiphysiodesis are the key for success treatment. corrections up to 5 cm can be achieved, predicted limited. Percutaneous techniques minimally invasive, safe efficient methods low complication rates. In general, a multidisciplinary approach should pursued when treating children adolescents stature.
