摘要: Abstract Hard coatings are used to improve the wear resistance of metals which largely depends on adhesion between substrate and coating. The friction behavior uncoated TiCN-coated D2, M2 M4 steels were evaluated by a pin-on-disk test under lubricated conditions. In order evaluate influence lubricant performance, dry tests also performed. results showed that coefficients very similar for both steels. Under conditions, D2 tool steel exhibited lowest coefficient, but presented smallest rate. Abrasion was main mechanism in all tribocouples. Additionally, microhardness measurements carried out, finding an hardness coatings. Besides, conducted, suggesting good class 1 substrates TiCN
